Well I own one AF lens and this one is it. A gem of a lens and I bought mine dirty cheap at ~$200 I think...it was from KEH. It is pro level glass albeit older. The lens has been feature in Nikon's a thousand and one nights. http://www.nikkor.com/story/0039/ The story about the lens designer is great! :) It has a couple of brothers and collectively they are known as the Three Big Dragons. http://nikkor.com/history/04.html

If I ever get a few more AF lenses guess which ones I am getting? haha :)

Note. I think these lenses would be fabulous on a Df! They are small compared to their modern counterparts and also extremely well built.

So here are a few samples...D7000 out of camera jpegs cropped

Much to my astonishment this lens is fully functional like it should be on my Df. Not sure why it didn't get along with the D7000. I absolutely am in love with the lens on the Df. When I need to go fast I use this one. Here are some samples on the Df. Fantastic!

Strangely enough this lens works as it should fully functional on the Df....wonder why it would not on the D7000??? What is even more crazy is the 50/1.8 Classic that came with the Df worked perfectly on the D7K. Weird....

I was trying to stay out of this guys way. Great dude. Had lots of dialogue with him. He made a bunch of beautiful shots and did just an outstanding job from what I have seen so far.

Yes he used both cameras at one time with no straps at times... :) He is looking at a text from his assistant shooter who was trying to find her way there I imagine because she showed up a few minutes later. It was a big country wedding..not exactly easy to find your way around! LOL

Please note I was shooting the off angles with the wedding snaps so I get the things growing out of heads and such. Trying to be as unobtrusive as possible. I didn't even make very many pictures like these ceremony/post ceremony scenes and no formal type posed stuff whatsoever. Most of my shots from that day were just walking around snapping here and there..half serious more about fun and joy.

This one highly processed (which I have been trying so hard to get away from for a long while now but for some reason)...

My copy is in pretty decent shape and was obtained dirty cheap but something is janky with the contacts. Mine only works on manual mode. None of the other modes work and when tried they just throw a code. I am still learning the AF deal too..lol
